How to make a free Zillow 3D Home tour
A walk-through tour shot with your phone in about an hour. Buyers can tour the home from their couch.
What you need
- The free Zillow 3D Home app (iPhone or Android).
- Your phone, fully charged, and ideally a tripod or monopod so each spot stays level.
- The home cleaned and lit the same way you’d prep it for photos.
Capturing the tour
- Open the app, sign in with your Zillow account, and start a new tour for your address.
- Stand in the middle of the first room. The app guides you to turn slowly in place while it captures a 360° panorama.
- Move to the next spot. Capture one or two points per room and one at each doorway so buyers can “walk” between rooms.
- Go in a natural order: front door, living areas, kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, then outside.
- Keep yourself, pets and mirrors’ reflections out of each shot as best you can, and close closet and cabinet doors.
- Review the tour in the app and reshoot any dark or blurry spot, then publish it.
Getting it in front of buyers
- Paste the tour link into the 3D tour box on the My listing tab of your dashboard. We check it and add it to your page on our homes search, usually within one business day.
- MLS Listing plan: we also add it to your MLS listing as the virtual tour, so it travels to the sites that show MLS tours.
- Basic plan: also attach the tour to your Zillow owner listing from the app or your Zillow account.
- Share the tour link in your Facebook and Marketplace posts too.
